My January, 2015 31-day photo challenge is part of an informal group effort, where many of the participants will be using the same list of subjects for their daily photos. We all see the same things differently and our various photos should provide an opportunity for us to appreciate different aspects of everyday items. I'm looking forward to an eye-opening and parameter-stretching month of photos from a talented group of photographers!

Day 22 - Shell
I got this shell many years ago. I don't even remember where, but I just loved all of the intricate designs between the ridges, and the little pearl-like tip. It's nice to be able to photograph things from around my house in this challenge, instead of going driving, often for many miles, to find subjects to shoot.

Wow, what an incredibly beautiful shell and photograph. Lit so well and the reflection is gorgeous. Turning the photo on it's side really makes it unique and different. You are so much more creative than you think, Fabulous! Eury
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely lovely!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done, and with the reflection we can see more of its intricate detains and pattern.
ReplyDeleteSuch nice details and lovely brown/yellow tones with the black contrast and reflection.
ReplyDeleteFantastic clarity and detail and I love how it is echoed in the reflection just as sharply too. Very nice work!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful shell, with beautiful detail. I like the sideways vantage point. The reflection is greatly detailed as well. Now see, you could have told us about having to drive all the way to the beach, and this not being the right time of the year for shells, so you had to go into one of the little shops to find ...you know like walking 8 miles to school barefoot in the snow... LOL Today's was just far to easy :)
ReplyDeleteLike long shadows the reflection looks bigger than the shell, interesting effect, so is rotating the image.
